k i said this in a earlier post but i wanted to get this out there in the open again. how about knuckle type weapons for melee and some sort of concussion beam weapon for ranged i mean were in the future and ranged units r still usin bullets? :S seems screwy too me any post ur feed back i eagerly await ur feedback :D

well i like the idea its like off that show G Gundam the shining gundam (special move:
shining finger!!!) knuckle based weapons are great but it probably wouldnt be as effective
as other weapons would be

I admit now that he explains it better I'd like to see these weapons and maybe add the knock back feature to them like the shotgun has.

Non round based weapons for artillery the only problem I can see with those is that knowing TQ they would use you thruster power as its energy source and you would run out in no time flat.

well they could use like battery packs for the concussion beams like for example: eternad batterys or some other names

its a great idea, but as for the battery packs, they either need to make an extra slot to fit it and to be fair come up with a simlar idea for the melee units

no they wont cos they will take the place of the ammo packs

They need an AOE (Area of effect) weapon for ranged -_-..

I hate the fact Melee unit has a 360 attack...
and Ranged has a 180< attack :(

thats cause a gun only has a 180 degree radius in real like its not physically possible to give a gun a 360 degree firing radius other then the natural ability of the person to turn 360 degrees

wastes 4x times the bullets.
I'd love it.
Machine gun.. Upgraded to a double sided MG...
Spends 11 a shot normally..
44 bullets needed to shoot it out the other side!!!

Burning meteor :3 bullets
DoubleSided BM: 12 bullets...

Id pay the extra gold for it *_*

We have hammers, hammers deal blunt damage. They should be the infantry concussion weapon.

this is a great idea
but one thing is missing

we are still waiting on axes, sniper, and gaus

well to be honest like i said b4 its a good idea but still it has its drawbacks because
1st like failen said it would prob use thruster energy now the cores you can get can
counterbalance that but u would have to have a damn good core and ur thrusters would have to be like +8-+9 to keep up with the constant atks.2nd reason is that if they came up
with knucks weapons they would have to invent a new type of weapon for ranged
even though they could just put the sniper rifle and gauss cannon for us

yeah a beam gun is a good idea but the battery pack...can be made like machinegun bullets right? so it still not making any diffrent
but the gun and bulltet are new. Just like gundam stuff lol

WEll knuckles are like same thing as the other melee weapons. But still I think it's still interesting. Anywas the knuckles doesn't have any thing good. I'm not acting like an ass or anything
Disadvantage:Low range. Maybe low fire rate. Could be heavy. Unbalanced between the artillry(because two weapons aren't finish from skill list)
Advantage:Range/melee. Could be claws. Just plain old knuckles

How is Low range a disadvantage on this type of a melee weapon they are all low range hence the term melee

i dont think it would drain ur thrusters maybe make it drain energy from a EN mod so they would have to make low lvl EN mods. and they would have to give these either a fast rate of attack and a low power rating. or give them high power and low attack rate.
