By the same reasoning paladins have three weapons - those with two blades, three blades and four.
It actualy makes no diffrence on gameplay, where as adding X amount of new weapons sinply for asthetic purposes would - its difficult enough to keep all your gears lvled as is. To add more just to the Paladin would impact on the class balance. 25 weapons per class is plenty.
Giving a choice in equip is not the way EO works(and one of the reasons I like it), there is one progression of each gear for each class, balanced between the three. There are no 'one off' weapons, choices in which sort of gear you'd like. As such each class is kept true to its intention and every player is on a level playing field working towards the same goal(+12 sockted supers - the forging system gives several hundred different permutations on top of the basic weapon).
What your suggesting would radicaly alter the way quipment works in EO, unbalance the classes and just alienate even more players who are not prepared to paypal ep for stones.
