Put thought into your suggestion, Give idea's not just "Another type" Tell us what you would like the type to be.

If by the topic title you mean add Stave's as the mages second weapon I would like to ask you to research them, You will learn something interesting.

Don't really know about improving game play, but it might give more variety, if something t]like throwing daggers and shurikens it would make mages a completely long range unit...

I'm not sure about damage causing weapons for a mage...they rely on their mental strength, not physical. However, a spell book might be kind of interesting...different spells for different books...maybe even a meteor spell?

a one handed wand would be nice, instead of this god awful huge candle holder I have to lug around.
