RIGHT I start up EO, click play and then it loads the normal stuff, patches etc. but instead of loading the City select thing it goes to: Before anyone says "0MGDZDZ DWNLAD DIRECT EX u n00b" I have direct x :) Not sure what to do, and havent got the patience nor time to find out what to do lol, Any ideas? :) Update: Downloaded and installed flash, Still not working, Same problem persists ): Further Update:
There is one that doesnt udate automatically, u have to dl manually.
Direct X 9, I don't think I need to update, As I installed everything manually when I re-did this computer, Took me like 2 hours to find all the stupid Windows files that decided not to install :X Thank you for your input though (: Problem solved: XxYagami-kunxX you legend :D Last edited by D0C on 10-22-2008 at 01:32:42 PM.

Well i guess to start off here... What windows system are you using? Xp,Vista...ect. Have you updated your driver for your display adapter? These are the two things to start with i guess.

So that rules out updating DirectX with that... Ok here is how to see what your current adapter is. First you have to right click the desktop, and click properties.(Using another screenshot i made awhile ago for something else, but same rule applies for this.) Then after right clicking the desktop and clicking properties, click the settings tab at the top. After that click the Advanced tab, then another box will pop up. After that does, click on the Adapter tab, and you will see what the Display adapter is. After you find out what type of Display adapter you have, all you have to do is search on google/yahoo, or whatever search engine you use, and search for updates for your Display adapter drivers. You should beable to find the official site for your adapter when searching.

I have to say this...WTF is wrong with your computer??? LMFAO This might be causing this new error for you. But i'm not completly sure, but im still trying atleast. This is just so funny to see... But yes, you have some drivers to install then. Only thing is that you might be required to search for the missing hardware first. To search for hardware, click the start button, then click on the settings tab, then click on the control panel, then click on Add Hardware, and all you should have to do is let it search for the Display adapter, and should install itself. If you get the Display adapter installed, you should then beable to update that. *Edit* Glad I was able to help and solve the problem. I wasn't completely sure like I said above, but this was the obvious actions I could think of in such a case like this. I'm quite good with computers, but I do not know everything that might go wrong with them, but I know enough to help possibly, such as this case you had to deal with. Oh I got to say, no one has called me a legend before, I have to say, that sounds like a good title to have... Really, I was happy to help. I have the exact same problem as the OP, but ive followed all the steps and i still havent fixed it.

There was only 1 uninstalled hardware that the wizard found (highlighted in red), so i went ahead and installed that, but i still dont have any adapters (blue).

I have no idea whats going on with this freaking computer.... please halp *.*

edit - lol forgot pic
edit2 - on an unrelated note, i havent played the game for a VERY, VERY long time, so i was freaking shocked when i found out that the download was over 900mb lol

Make sure you have the latest DirectX, make sure you have the latest Flash player, make sure you have the east asian language pack, make sure your drivers are all fully updated, then manually patch your client and try to log in again. I hope this helped.

Did you resolve the issue, Toaster? This post is pretty old and I'd like to lock it so it can be seen by other players who experience similar problems.

If you did resolve tit hen please tell how so others can try it. Thanks.
