Despite what anyone may say there is no ideal weapon for each arm for either class, it's all just a matter of preference what weapons you like and want to use and also if you can get a hold of a good quality one like elite or Ultra.

Doesn't really matter what weapon you would use for each ARM, its all about taste. But two handed weapons are easier, cause they require less mets when you use sword and shield or saber and shield. Unfortunatly for me, I have two arms that use sword and shield >_<

Actually, Light Artillery needs a rifle for Tank Form, and Command Artillery needs a machinegun for ATV Form. Other than that, use whatever weapons you want.

can always equip two weapons on one and use a secondary for transform. dual wielding guns is also great for doing missions when things are weak to one specific gun.

Scythe and Hammer has AOE EN(area of effect) skills while the rest have single target skills meant for Pking. Scythe doesnt have a -5 aux. Shield and 1 h weapons are more expensive to ultra while swords are cheap and easy to find +1s.

the only way to go for a inf is to use a 1h weapon and shield.... with the damage of arts being so high the shield is the only thing that can give you a great boost in def... 2h weapons are just a cheaper way to get your pot higher but if you plan to keep playing this game to the high lvls i would recommend you invest in a 1h weapon and shield... it would be alot easier to just go art if your a pk person but against mobs, grinding, ect, i would use a inf.... my preference is a saber and shield.... i only say saber for the fact that it does a good amount of damage and a quite common weapon in the market place to help you super add it to get your pot up... the down side of the sword and shield route is its a bi*** getting both of them to ultras making it more expensive but in the long run you will benefit alot especially against other players pertaining to pking or them trying to pk you when their pot is 50-100 higher then yours.... also helps you when your higher lvl to train in venus wilds where more crystal drop rates are considerably higher..
but as everyone says in this post it all boils down to your preferences in this game when it comes to what weapon to use as a inf.... just wanted to give you a heads up

Well, for one, it's severely inefficient to PK with a Melee type. Most people run Arts now because Melee is effing boring.
Two, while Shield is good for defense, it's nearly negligible for a long time against most things. For the longest time I took 1 damage from everything I mobbed. Besides that, the severe cut in power might not be acceptable.

i only mentioned a sword and shield combo for pvp reasons...the shield will help in defending against other inf players as well as art players... a inf with no shield and same pot as a art player will lose hands down... inf isnt too bad pking with a high lvl leap att it makes pking quite easy as well are grinding. against mobs a shield has no use unless you plan to train in venus wilds where your def needs to be 22k or higher to train there and if you dont have a shield you will need to get ultra armor and def mod and possibly your cabin just to train in vw when you can just get a elite 185 shield and maybe might need a ultra armor just to train there in vw... less zps to use and will beable to train in vw where there is more crystal drops and that will help your cap... i base this solely off of lvl 180 units with all gears atleast elite and upgraded to the corresponding lvl

Inf against Art is a losing battle already.
You won't EVER clear the distance fast enough. Not even with a shield.
